Description

This project includes the removal and replacement of Fire Alarm Devices throughout the building as indicated. Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Bid proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked plainly on the outside of the envelope with the following: “South Panola Fire Alarm Device Replacement Re-Bid; Project number 22052 to be opened November 9, 2022” Envelope shall be addressed to Tim Wilder, Superintendent of Schools, 204 College Street, Batesville, MS. 38606. In addition, the envelope shall list the bidders Company name, Company address and all applicable state and local license and registration numbers of the bidder. Envelopes not so marked are submitted at the risk of the bidder as the Owner and Architect assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope by any employee of the Owner or Architect. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows. In addition, Electronic bids may be submitted through the website www.dalebaileyplans.com Electronic bids are not required by the SPSD but offered as another means to submit a bid. Single stipulated sum bids will be received for all work required by the contract documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. The owner reserves the right to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to ninety Bidders’ Questions: Architect will provide responses at Prebid conference to bidders’ questions received up to two . business days prior to conference. Printed Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain after October 5, 2022, by going to www.dalebaileyplans.com Viewing Procurement and Contracting Documents: Examine after October 5, 2022, at the locations below: Bid documents are being made available via original paper copy or digital CD. Plan holders are required to register and order bid documents at www.dalebaileyplans.com. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Questions regarding website registration and online orders please contact Plan House Printing, 605 W. Main Street Tupelo MS 38804, (662) 407-0193. Bid Documents will only be made available to plan holders as entire documents. Partial sets will not be issued. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall substantially complete the work by August 4, 2023. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
