Description

Brighton 2022 CIP - Phase 1 Bids are requested for the following Prime Contracts: Contract 101: Mechanical Contract All RFI's should be directed to the Construction Manager, Campus CMG, to the attention of Patrick Arrow, via e-mail: parrow@campuscmg.com. Bids shall be on the form provided in the documents, prepared in duplicate as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and enclosed in an envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the bidder and the title of work to which the proposal relates. If submitting for more than one contract, submit each contract bid in separate envelope. Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. In additions, the Bidding Documents for this project contain detailed requirements for the qualification of Bidders. These include, among other things, rigid bonding and insurance requirements, financial statements, bank references, lists of lawsuits, arbitrations, or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as a party, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and a description of other projects of similar size and scope completed by the Bidder. The Board of Education hereby reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all Bids or to accept the one that in its judgment will be for the best interest of the school district. A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid, subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders, must be deposited by each Bidder with his Bid as a guarantee that, in the case the contract is awarded to him, he will then, ten days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, and the Bidder shall not withdraw his Bid for a period of forty-five days after the above date of Bid opening, and to guarantee the performance of all other obligations of the Bidders as set forth in Instructions to Bidders. Attention of the Bidders is called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract as well as to other provisions set forth in the Instruction to Bidders. Work shall be commenced and continuously and diligently prosecuted immediately after contracts have been signed. The Owner further reserves its right to disqualify Bidders for any material failure to comply with the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS" and "SUPPLEMENTARY INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS." Introduction Gheen Environmental Services was retained by SEI Design Group to provide an Asbestos Survey at the Brighton Central School District's French Road Elementary School, located at 488 French Rd, Rochester, NY 14618. 2.0 Scope of Work 2.1 The asbestos testing herein is related to 2022 Capital Improvement Project, Phase 1 and Phase 2 being designed by SEI Design Group. 2.2 The scope of work included limited pre-renovation survey for asbestos containing building materials in general conformance with Code Rule 56. 2.3 The scope of work included a survey for the presence of asbestos containing building materials in general conformance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) 40 CFR 763. The scope of the survey included buildings or portions thereof: gym, cooling tower and adjacent mechanical room. 3.0 Executive Summary Gheen Environmental Services performed field work at French Road Elementary School on: July 14, 2022. All asbestos survey work was performed by Timothy J Thomas (Certificate Number 06-17988).
