Description | The construction of roadway and intersection improvements as detailed in the Contract Plans for SR 39/US 301/Gall Boulevard from South of Daughtery Road to North of Pretty Pond Road. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment for the accomplishment of all work as described in the contract documents and plans. The work to be performed includes roadway construction for earthwork, roadway paving and grading, curb and gutter, sidewalks, pipe culvert and drainage structures, signing and payment markings, roadway lighting, and traffic signal installation. The proposed improvements at US 301& Pretty Pond Road intersection include removing the channelized medians, installing a traffic signal, intersection lighting, and extending the northbound and southbound leftturn lanes. Proposed improvements on the east leg of Pretty Pond Road include adding a right-turn lane. Proposed improvements on the west leg of Pretty Pond Road include widening to the north to provide for an eastbound left-turn lane. The proposed improvements at US 301& Merchants Square/Townview Shopping Center intersection include removing the exiting traffic signal, constructing median separator and converting access drives to right-in/rightout only. The proposed improvements at US 301& Medical Arts Court intersection include removing the channelized median, installing a traffic signal,intersection lighting, constructing a northbound right-turn lane, constructing a new access drive to the east retail center (including site improvements on the commercial parcel), and adding an eastbound left-turn lane. |
