Port Chester Pedestrian Safety Action Plan (PSAP)

PIN 8762.08 – Port Chester Pedestrian Safety Action Plan. The projects limits are located within six locations throughout the Village. The locations are located at the intersections of: S. Regent Street & William Street, Abendroth Avenue & Mill Street, Abendroth Avenue & Adee Street, Abendroth Avenue & Willett Avenue, East Broadway Corridor, and Purdy Avenue & Waterfront Place The items of work under this Federal Aid project include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: The project is proposing the construction of Safety improvements at the selected locations include curb extensions (bumpouts), ADA compliant sidewalk ramps, traffic signal pedestrian phase evaluations and retiming, installation of signage to re-route truck traffic, and high visibility crosswalks. Curb extensions will be installed at three of the project intersections and will result in shorter distances for pedestrians crossing the roadway.
