Description

The purpose of this project is to replace an existing 1 million gallon and 2 million gallon water tank at Spanish Fork’s Malcomb Springs. The two existing water tanks are old and need to be replaced with a single 3 million gallon water tank. The City is planning to demolish the existing 1 million gallon water tank and leave the existing 2 gallon water tank in service until the new 3 million gallon water tank is in service and then the remaining existing water tank will be demolished. Based on the existing tank locations and site configuration it is anticipated that the one million gallon water tank will be removed first.. Site grading and landscape will be part of the project. Once the existing 2 million gallon tank is demoed, the area will be sloped down to tie into the existing ground to the North. The slope needs to be able to be maintained. There are existing utilities in the area (Power and communication) that will need to be relocated. The City leases some of the property to a Windmill company. The company has existing windmills and equipment on the property and that company is responsible to remove those windmills. Here are some of the main items of this project.
