Description

As of June 30, 2023 the project was awarded to Thomas Environmental, awarded amount is $263,800. Work is generally to include furnishing and installing a new sodium hypochlorite storage tank, repair driveway cracks and provide subsurface stabilization, repair of hydrogen peroxide piping and repair sludge collection system. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, Non segregated facilities order 32FR 7439, and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act. This project will follow, and bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 11246 (EEO) as amended, prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Contractors/subcontractors will comply with 41 CFR 60-4, (affirmative action), to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goal set forth in 41 CFR 60-4. This contract is NOT subject to federal nor state wage rates. This project is funded with a Cleaner Water Program Grant and local funds This project will NOT subject to DOW Procurement Guidance including the American Iron & Steel and Davis-Bacon Act. Bidders will make positive efforts to use small, minority, women owned and disadvantaged businesses. DBE's are encouraged to bid. The City of Beattyville is an Equal Opportunity Employer. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bid award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. All bidders shall submit with their bid an acceptable bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Owner Liquidated damages will be assessed at $500 per calendar day. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
