Description | As of July 13, 2023, a construction manager has been awarded and this project is in the pre-construction/negotiated status. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Addendum: 2 Job Location Golden, Colorado Question Acceptance Deadline 08/22/2022 07:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No The Colorado School of Mines ("Mines") is proposing a Mechanical upgrade and roofing replacement project with minor interior renovations to an existing 1980's office building at 1600 Jackson Street. This project is necessitated by the need to replace aging mechanical systems that will replace a rooftop cooling / baseboard fin tube system with new Variable Refrigerant Flow and Dedicated outside air systems for building wide upgrades. Anticipated construction cost for this project is approximately $3M and the building will be occupied during the project, requiring phased replacement of HVAC systems to be scheduled at an agreeable time with Mines to allow building occupants comfort levels to be maintained as much as possible during the entirety of the project duration. The proposed project will remove the Rooftop cooling units, disconnect baseboard fin tub heat, run all new VRF and DOAs systems, controls and include removal and replacement of the existing roofing system with an insulated TPO roofing system. General Requirements - Bidder Prequalification/Preregistration Required The State reserves the right to reject any or all proposals on the basis of being unresponsive to this RFP or for failure to disclose requested information, shall not be liable for any costs incurred by respondents in the preparation of submittals and proposals nor in costs related to any element of the selection and contract negotiation process. This is Step I of a two-step process where preliminary evaluations take place. A short list of qualified respondents will be identified through Step I and invited to interview evaluations (Step II) based upon the highest preliminary scores. Firms failing to meet the minimum required qualifications will not receive further consideration. |
