Description | The work for the DUFRESNE PLAZA REHAB shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory construction of installation of: - 1,490 SY Paver & Concrete Removal - 240 CY of 6" Reinforced Concrete Slab-on-Grade - 120 CY Aggregate Base (MDOT 703.06 Type A) - 125 SF Porous Pavement - 100 LF 1" PVC Conduit - 330 LF 2" PVC Conduit - 1, 4-ft Dia. Catch Basin/Manhole - 100 LF 12" SDR35 PVC Pipe - 140 LF 10" SDR35 PVC Pipe - 1, Tree Base with Decorative Cover - 8, Tree Anchors & Top Flanges The work will include the removal of the existing pavers in the lower level of Dufresne Plaza. The existing CSO system will be separated, with the installation of a new catch basin & PVC storm drain pipes draining to an existing catch basin in Lisbon Street. Ancillary utilities will also be installed such as PVC conduit, precast hand-holes, and precast light pole bases to be used as "tree anchors." Construction fencing to block pedestrian access to the Plaza will need to be maintained throughout the duration of the work, with temporary access located outside landscaped areas to be provided to existing access doors in the Plaza. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total Contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder to ensure completion of the work and the proper fulfillment of the conditions of the Contract. The total Contract price shall mean the total bid price as stated in the Proposal based on the estimated quantities of the various items of work. |
