Construction Services for Installation of Miller Street Bridge and N and S Chase Street Culverts

The City of Johnstown is hereby accepting sealed written bids for construction services involved in installing the aluminized arch culvers located on N. Chase Street and S. Chase Street along with the pre-engineered bridge structure at Miller Street in the City of Johnstown. Both the N. Chase Street and S. Chase Street locations have existing gas mains in the area of the existing structures and will be impacted by construction activities. These utilities will need to be protected throughout the duration of the construction to the satisfaction of the utility owner. Any additional storm sewer work, either relocation or new construction will be completed by the City either upon completion of construction. This will include installing the new line on N. Chase Street that will involve excavating through a private driveway therefore the contractor will not be responsible for this. All other asphalt and concrete paving, sidewalk installation, and curb installation will be the responsibility of the contractor and be required to be done per the specifications and plan sheets of each location. The cost of the work should be included in the bid and based off of the engineer’s estimate of quantities for each location.
