Canal/Franklin/Main Street Intersection Improvements - City of Nashua

The Railroad Square and Library Hill area of Nashua is one of the most congested in the City. A traffic study has suggested that traffic flow could be improved by turning Lowell Street and the portion of Canal Street west of Lowell Street into one-way streets whereby each street would complement the other. Some changes to the striping of Main Street in this area would also be performed. This requested amount is for preliminary design local match only. This project is in included in the City of Nashua - Planning FY 2023 - 2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of June 14, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
