Description

Station #10: 2215 West Main Street, Dothan, Alabama 36301 Station #3: 1484 Whatley Drive, Dothan, Alabama 36303 Cashier's check or bid bond payable to City of Dothan, Alabama in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds, immigration documentation as required by The Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, and insurance in compliance with requirements, will be required at the signing of the Contract. Only General Contractors who have completed the pre-qualification process within the stated time limits, and which are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors under the Provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered for pre-qualification for the Work of this project. The pre-qualification procedure is intended to identify responsible and competent bidders relative to the requirements of the Project. The Owner reserves the right to waive technical errors in applications or abandon the pre-qualification process. General Contractors will be notified of pre-qualification to bid on or before Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at which time plans will be available for distribution per above requirements. The project consists of two (2) single-story, new construction fire stations at approximately 13,000 square feet each and will house a 3-engine apparatus bay, sleeping quarters, kitchen, dayroom, office space, and miscellaneous equipment and living facilities. Site work will include grading, driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, privacy fencing, and site lighting. The project will also include, as alternates, a 3rd engine bay at Station #10, a Community Education Room at Station #10, and a combined landscaping package for both stations. All questions, comments and requests for clarifications or additional information shall be submitted in writing to Project Architect Tony Coleman, AIA, at Seay, Seay, and Litchfield, P.C. Any and all comments, questions and requests for clarifications must be received no later than 5:00 PM CST 4/5/2023 5:00 PM
