US 97/SR 22 Intersection - Upgrade Signal and Illumination

STIP ID 509703N39 US 97/SR 22 Intersection - Upgrade Signal and Illumination Upgrade illumination system and rebuild signal system. The electrical lighting system and signal system at the US 97/SR 22 Intersection on US 97 at Toppenish have deteriorated due to age. This project will replace the lighting system and rebuild the signal to ensure adequate lighting and signal function for the intersection area. As of February 10, 2023, this project is in a Design status. Preliminary engineering is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2021 and environmental design is expected to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2021. The contract advertisement is expected in frist quarter of 2024 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the fourth quarter of 2024.
