Description | Work required under this Contract includes furnishing materials, labor, equipment, etc. to install new pavement markings (120 LF 1 foot wide, 78 LF 2 foot wide white thermoplastic, 6 foot wide crosswalk with brick pattern alternating colors & patterns thermoplastic, & 3,500 square feet of brick patterns in color thermoplastic) as shown in Project Manual. Bids shall be entered on a UNIT PRICE basis and as described in the project manual. Bids in the case of Corporations not chartered in Georgia, must be accompanied by proper certification stating that said Corporation is authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All Bidders are required to submit a Bid Bond, or a certified check made payable to the City of Suwanee in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract performance bond and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required by the contract documents. The Bid Bond or certified check must be enclosed in the envelope with the sealed bid. Bonding Company must be licensed to do business in Georgia, licensed to do business by the Georgia Secretary of State, authorized to do business in Georgia by the Georgia Insurance Department, listed in the Department of the Treasurys Publication of Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Surety on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies and have an A.M. Best rating of A-, Class V or higher. The Owner will award the Contract to the lowest qualified bidder, subject with the Owner's right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interests. |
