Description | **As of March 31, 2023 bids for this project has been rejected. As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid. 1. Project consists of a new combined City Hall and Police building. Building is single story and is approximately 5,540 gross square feet. Building is fully sprinkled. 2. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, concrete footings and foundation walls; load-bearing exterior masonry cavity wall construction; interior metal stud wall construction; interior CMU wall construction; clad wood windows and doors; hollow metal doors and frames; solid core wood doors; and overhead coiling door. Roof assembly is wood truss with wood sheathing and composite asphalt shingles. Finishes include, but are not limited to, acoustical panel ceilings, painted gypsum board, ceramic tiling, resilient base, luxury vinyl tile, and carpet tile. Work also includes earthwork, site improvements, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Nothing in these bid documents shall obligate Owner to enter into a contract with any bidder. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages of $250/day. Bidder must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Successful bidder shall complete substantial completion within 12 months of Notice to Proceed. |
