Description

Each filed sub-bid on this Contract must be accompanied by a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance showing that the bidder has the classification for the following sub-trades: Electrical; Plumbing. Sub-bidders shall be DCAMM-certified in said category and capacity rating to perform the work required. Each filed subbid must also be accompanied by a Contractor Qualification Statement Update. Any bid submitted without the appropriate Certificate of Eligibility and Contractor Qualification Statement Update shall be invalid. All bids may be mailed or hand-delivered to the above specified receiving address prior to the time specified hereunder, in accordance with the procedures set forth in the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Sealed sub-bids shall be submitted on a form furnished by the Awarding Authority and submitted in an opaque envelope that clearly identifies it as a sub-bid and the filed sub-trade category, endorsed with the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project and Contract #FAC-23-03 The Town of Norwood invites sealed bids for the HVAC replacement at the Norwood Public Safety Building, located at 135-137 Nahatan Street, Norwood, MA, in accordance with Contract Documents prepared by Consulting Engineering Services, LLC, 128 Carnegie Row, Suite 204, Norwood, MA 02062. The successful bidder shall be required to submit documentation that all employees to be employed in the work subject to this bid have successfully completed a course in construction safety and health approved by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration that is at least 10 hours in duration. Any employee found on a worksite subject to this section without documentation of successful completion of a course in construction safety and health approved by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration that is at least 10 hours in duration shall be subject to immediate removal. The minimum wages to be paid for all labor on the project are established in a schedule issued by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, in accordance with Section 26A - 27D, of Chapter 149 of the M.G.L., as amended, said schedule being made a part of the Contract Documents and is included therein. Section 6(f) of Chapter 64H of Massachusetts General Laws exempts Massachusetts sales tax on building materials and supplies to be used in the project, and bidders shall not include in their bids any amount therefor. The successful Bidder must agree to commence work as stipulated in the receipt of Notice to Proceed, and complete the work in accordance with the times established in the Contract. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids if it is deemed in the public interest to do so. Attention of all bidders is directed to the requirements of the Supplemental Equal Opportunity, Anti-Discrimination and Affirmative Action Program of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, which is incorporated in the Contract Documents.
