Description | Notice is hereby given that the City of Rancho Cucamonga (City) will receive sealed bids for the materials, supplies, equipment and - or services set forth herein, subject to all conditions outlined in the Bid Package, Plans and Specifications For Haz-Mat Abatement and Demolition 8783 Etiwanda Ave. and 12949 Whittram Ave. The scope of work consists of, but not limited to, building demolition, Haz-Mat abatement and clearing and grubbing including disposal. A total of Thirty (30) working days to complete the project. In accordance with provisions of Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code, the City has determined that Contractor shall possess any and all contractors licenses, in form and class as required by any and all applicable laws with respect to any and all of the work to be performed under this contract including, Class C-21 License (Building Moving/Demolition Contractor), Class C-22 License (Asbestos Abatement Contractor), ASB (Asbestos Certification), and HAZ (Hazardous Substance Removal Certification) in accordance with the provisions of the Contractors License Law (California Business and Professions Code, Section 7000 et. Seq.). In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770, et seq., of the Labor Code, the Director of the Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to the work to be done. The Contractor will be required to pay to all persons employed on the project by the Contractor sums not less than the sums set forth in the documents entitled General Prevailing Wage Determination made by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code, Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Sections 1770, 1773, 1773.1. These documents can be reviewed in the Engineering Department or may be obtained from the State Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form and amount specified in Public Contract Code Sections 20170 and 20171. See Bid Package for details. A Payment Bond and a Completion Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, will be required of the Contractor. Questions regarding this Notice Inviting Sealed Bids shall be submitted eight (8) calendar days prior to bid opening and shall be directed to Project Manager: Frank A. Lopez, Principal Civil Engineer / Assistant City Engineer frank.lopez@cityofrc.us. The City of Rancho Cucamonga reserves the right to reject any bid or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid. Any contract awarded will be let to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. |
