Description

Scope of Project is to Mill and Pave all parking lots and driveways at the NC Judicial Center at 901 Corporate Center Dr, Raleigh, NC 27607. Scope includes the following: Mill and Pave: Approx. 26,000 Square Yards (SY) • See Attachment G, Diagram of NC Judicial Center Paving Project, includes all highlighted areas except area “E” the “Warehouse Area” • Measurement is approximate, work area will be clearly defined at the mandatory site visit, vendor is responsible for their own assessment. (work area extends to joint with Corporate Center Drive, includes removal of concrete path near front entrance) • Mill all asphalt to underlaying stone with a minimum mill depth of 3 inches. Some areas may require additional depth to reach underlaying stone, see Attachment H, Designer’s Report • Remove milled material from site • Install a minimum of 3 inches of surface asphalt to return to appropriate grade • All Repairs shall be shaped symmetrically where possible • Machine roll to a smooth finish • All work areas must be blocked/roped off to prevent traffic access Mill and Pave Warehouse Area: Approx. 2,000 Square Yards (SY) (Area E) • Warehouse area pavement is newer and does not require total replacement • Dividing line is visible and will be discussed at the mandatory site visit • Mill to depth of 1.5 inches. • Remove milled material from site • Install a minimum of 1.5 inches of surface asphalt to return to appropriate grade • All Repairs shall be shaped symmetrically where possible • Machine roll to a smooth finish Soil Stabilization Method: Full Depth Reclamation (FDR), Minimum of 2,500 SY • Full Depth Reclamation in accordance with the Designer’s recommendations (NV5 Engineers and Consultants, Inc. (which merged with TerraTech Engineers, Inc.)) • Approximately 50lbs per square yard of repair mix • NV5 Engineers and Consultants report of existing asphalt pavement and geotechnical engineering evaluation is included as Attachment H Undercut Performed at the discretion of and in accordance with the Designer’s recommendations R&R Concrete Curb and Gutter Replacement: Minimum 1,000 Linear Feet • Areas to be determined based on need in consultation with the Engineer • Saw cut area to produce even edges • Excavate curb and gutter • Dispose of all debris off site and tamp sub-base material • Form up curb and gutter and pour new concrete using 3000 PSI • Place control joints every 10’ and expansion ever 100’ • Place light broom finish on curb • Strip forms and back fill area with onsite spoils Line Striping and Painting • Recreate existing lines and paint
