Chip Seal Surfacing and Wedging of Town Roads

The project work consists of chip seal surfacing and wedging on various Town roads. A separate Bid must be submitted for each road. The bidder shall recommend and clearly specify the following information on each bid form. Chip Seal Bituminous material: Chip Seal Asphalt Cement PG-58-28 with no cutback or as compatible with aggregate Cover aggregate 3/8" washed, fractured pea stone aggregate or as requested by project. (Town will consider other cover aggregate if price is provided) Wedge Asphaltic Material - Type E-1 Hot Mix Asphalt for overlays and Wedging. All work must be completed by August 31, 2023 Questions concerning the road shall be directed to the Town Patrolman at 608-963-6084 CHIP SEAL COAT A. Each Road shall constitute a separate project. A separate bid must be submitted for each road. B. The bidder shall recommend and clearly specify the following information on each bid form. Town will patch as necessary prior to Chip Seal The Town Board reserves the right to reject any bids and to accept the bid or bids deemed to be the most advantageous to the Town. Road Name: Hornung Road Start/End Points: Inama Road - CTH Y Total length of project area: 2.47 miles Project 3 Chip Seal These Roads Require Center Wedging prior to Sealing (Appox. 500 ft) See Town Patrolman for limits. Mill joints where necessary. Note to Bidder: Please provide an alternate cover aggregate (urban) for these locations for the Towns consideration.
