Description | As of August 1, 2022. The project has been awarded with the amount of $887,724.75. The work to be performed and provided under this Contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, safety equipment, permitting, erosion and sedimentation control measures, taxes, profit, overhead, and other costs and effort required to complete the following: Removal of 1,035 L.F. of 12" gravity sewer main and seven (7) manholes, installation of 1,035 L.F. 24" gravity sewer along with associated manholes and accessories within same alignment. Relocation of the diesel pump and accessories from the Lemley Pump Station to the Parkway Pump Station. The 24" PVC sewer piping will be provided by the City and installed by the Contractor. All other materials will be provided by the Contractor. The time allotted for substantial completion of the work is 120 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, and the time allotted for final completion of work is 150 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Contractor will be required to coordinate all work with the City of Perry and other utility owners who have facilities within the project corridor. The project will be managed by GWES, LLC. located at 733 Carroll Street, Perry, GA 31069, telephone number (478) 235-0307. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. The Bidder shall affix to the outside of its Bid envelope, its Georgia Utility Contractor License Number, not the license number of a Utility manager or a subcontractor's Georgia Utility Contractor License Number. No bid will be opened unless the Contractor's Utility License Number is affixed to the envelope. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified cashier's check, in the amount of 10% of the base bid, prepared on the form of Bid Bond, section 00 04 10, attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570 with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" empowering the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Permits Contractor will acquire all necessary Federal, State and local permits preceding the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Owner has or will acquire all necessary easements and rights-of-way for permanent installations preceding the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to readvertise. Contractor shall supply E-Verify documentation with the bid to be deemed responsive. |
