Description | The Work is generally described as the construction and addition of a fourth clarifier to the City of Bradenton's wastewater system. The work includes, but is not limited to, installation of a 150-foot-diameter clarifier, a return-activated sludge (RAS) pump station, a scum pump station, an electrical building, sludge drying beds, bollards, concrete mow stripping, and associated pipes, valves, fittings, and appurtenances to connect to the existing system. The project also includes modification to the existing clarifier flow splitter box, staircase, and walkway; demolition of any existing piping to accommodate the proposed installations and modifications, the existing aerobic digester, and the dissolved air floatation unit; and removal and replacement of portions of the plant roadway, sludge drying bed, and drainage piping. The work shall be performed as described for a complete and operable system as accepted by the Owner. Other roadway enhancements include removing and installing gravity structures and piping, and associated grading, milling, resurfacing, and paving. All work shall be in accordance with the Construction Drawings, Technical Specifications, and Contract Documents. The project will be funded under the FDEP State Revolving Loan Program and specific requirements under this program are included in the FDEP Supplemental Conditions.
