Description | This project consists of reconstructing Greenough Lake Campground and constructing a new campground loop with associated camp units. The work will be performed on the road, parking spurs, living spaces, paths/trails, fishing pier, new potable well, and toilets. Description of Work. – This project consists of reconstructing Greenough Lake Campground and constructing a new campground loop with associated camp units. The work will be performed on the road, parking spurs, living spaces, paths/trails, fishing pier, new potable well, and toilets. A copy of the CAD drawing will be provided to the Contractor for surveying and construction staking. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to extract any necessary data for surveying and construction staking. The work will include but not be limited to construction staking and blue topping, clearing, and grubbing, demolition, excavation, grading, pavement milling, pavement demolition, furnishing and placing aggregate, furnishing, and placing asphalt pavement, chip sealing new road, constructing a fishing pier, placing rock barriers, furnishing, and installing culverts, signs, toilets, gates, fire rings, picnic tables, parking barrier rocks, and bear boxes. There is approximately 505 bank cy of excavation that will be collected at approved borrow locations within 2 miles of the campground entrance. The Contractor shall be responsible for salvaging all ADA fire rings, picnic table planks and picnic table legs as identified by the CO. All identified salvaged materials will be the property of the Forest Service and shall be stockpiled at the Rock Creek Work Center boneyard near Red Lodge. The contractor shall be responsible for loading salvaged items, transporting, and offloading at the Rock Creek Work Center. Rocks shall be salvaged during excavation for use as riprap. The Contractor will dispose of unsalvageable picnic tables, fire rings, signs, toilets, vaults, culverts, gates, concrete, and other miscellaneous items in a lawful manner off National Forest System Lands. The Contractor shall furnish and install two Aspen or Gunnison style precast concrete toilets or approved equal supplier and approved equal toilet. The existing Aspen toilet near Greenough Lake shall be removed and reset after excavation and the trail is completed. All coordination for resetting the toilet shall be the Contractor’s responsibility. The existing toilet #1 has a leaking concrete vault. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing and replacing the concrete vault and all associated coordination and work. The Contractor shall develop and drill a potable well following all specifications and submittal requirements. The Contractor shall be required to clean up and dispose of all construction waste in a lawful manner off National Forest System Lands. |
