Description

Pierce County seeks the services of qualified general contractors with expertise in all phases of construction and office relocation as required to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, incidentals, superintendents, subcontractor coordination and overhead to perform a variety of facility modification related to additions, moves, and changes in court facilities, general office buildings, and leased facilities, throughout Pierce County. The primary focus of these services will be to assist the County in relocating office space, which shall include, but not be limited to: moving services for files, equipment, related office furniture, installing and uninstalling of furniture systems, and other office accessories, hardwired electrical and data connection and disconnection to, thru, and within modular furniture systems, detachment and/or mounting of fixed furniture systems or accessories, the installation or removal of data wiring from specified locations to LAN room patch panel locations providing terminations in labeled patch panels, and any associated pathways or LAN room construction required for such connections to be completed. These services may include the installation or modification HVAC components to meet LAN room or office reconfiguration requirements. This work shall also include the disposal and recycling of specified office furniture in a manner in compliance with Pierce County Personal Property Disposal Policy. This work may also include the repair, or replacement of existing finishes to restore an office space to a pre-leased, or acceptable operational level. The scope of services for General Construction Services will include, but not limited to following: carpentry, millwork, framing, drywall, doors, windows, frames, caulking, hardware, demolition, patching and painting, IT rack removal or installation, swapping of locks or lock replacement, removal or installation of Lenel card readers and associated cabling, electric strikes, and termination panels, ACT or GWB ceiling work or repair, removal or installation of AV equipment, flooring replacement or repair, renting of moving equipment (carts) and supplies (bins), and subcontracting. These services shall be provided to Pierce County at an on call, project specific basis. It is understood that additional specifications specific to a projects scope of work may be provided to contractor at time of purchase order issuance and project commencement. The County reserves the right to provide and require such specifications on an as needed basis for each project contract (purchase order). Any work or specifications not outlined herein will be addressed prior to issuance of a project contract (purchase order) with selected contractor.
