Description | The scope of the project includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to improve local streets within the Town of Cedar Lake as follows: Total reconstruction of existing roadways including clearing of right of way, pavement, driveway, curb, sidewalk, and pipe removal, common excavation, asphalt milling, temporary erosion and sediment control, water main adjustment, aggregate base course, HMA asphalt pavement, concrete shoulder/curb, concrete sidewalk, driveway reconstruction, seeding, pipe culverts, storm sewer, manholes, inlets, catch basins, structure backfill, mailbox removal and replacement, pavement markings, and maintaining traffic at the following locations: - Parrish Avenue (from +/- 134th Place to W. 137th Avenue) - Vermillion Street Curve - 127th Avenue (Highland Subdivision) - Knight Street (Highland Subdivision) - 126th Place (Highland Subdivision) - Kors/Webster Street (Highland Subdivision) Roadway improvements including asphalt roadway milling, pipe removal, driveway removal, temporary erosion and sediment control, casting adjustment, HMA patching, variable depth HMA leveling binder and HMA surface course, culvert replacements, swale grading, pavement markings, and traffic control items at the following locations: - Parrish Avenue (from W. 133rd Avenue to +/- 134th Place) - Vermillion Street (outside of curve section from Cline Avenue to Colfax Avenue) - Hilltop Drive (from W. Lake Shore Drive to Vermillion Street) Layout/surveying will be necessary for the work and should be included in the bid price. It is important to the Town the work be conducted in a timely, organized, and sequential manner. The successful bidder must be prepared to commit adequate resources to start and complete the Work at each specific location within the stated contract schedule. The Parrish Avenue and Vermillion Street/Hilltop Street projects will be the base bid and the Highland Subdivision project will be a bid alternate. |
