Description

HVAC $915,000 Alternate 1 – Grinding and Repaving $175,000 Alternate 2 Island Removal $ 50,000 College Hall Remove and replace existing AHU-1 and AHU-2 supply fan and return air fans. Remove existing cooling tower, condenser water pump and water-cooled chiller. Install new air-cooled chiller, piping, glycol make-up feeder system and new controls. Replace/modify existing cooling tower steel to accommodate the new air-cooled chiller. Install all new support steel as required above the roof and below above the ceiling on the floor below. Replace pneumatic actuators on the existing air handling unit control valves and dampers. Remove existing filter frame and replace with new filter frame. Provide all electrical support for the new HVAC work. The Campus Center Remove and replace existing AHU-1 thru AHU-5 supply fan Remove and replace existing AHU-2 and AHU-5 return fan Remove existing heating water pumps and install new VFD controlled pumps. Replace pneumatic actuators on the existing air handling unit control valves and dampers. Remove existing filter frame and replace with new filter frame. Remove existing pneumatic VAV box controllers and install new DDC controls for VAV boxes Remove existing pneumatic cooling only VAV box and install new DDC VAV Box with reheat. Provide all electrical support for the new HVAC work Provide Fire Alarm upgrades for Campus Center, College Hall, Natural Resource Center and Willet Pratt Building Removal and proper disposal of all construction materials not permanently installed in the project. This includes the removal and recovery of all rooftop unit refrigerant. Installation of new medium pressure ductwork and accessories fornew VAV Boxes and fan replacement. Contractor is responsible to coordinate with their roofing subcontractor to repair any roof damage during the removal/replacement of rooftop equipment. Contractor is responsible for all hoisting and lifting of equipment. All lifts are to be scheduled on weekends to avoid interruption of normal working hours of the owner’s employees. Contractor is responsible for all demolition and proper disposal of existing materials and equipment that are removed from the project. The project is to be free of asbestos materials to the knowledge of the Engineer. Should the contractor encounter any asbestos they are to immediately contact the Engineer to review abatement processes. It is the intent that sufficient time has been incorporated into the project schedule so that the contractor has sufficient time to procure materials and complete their work with within the allotted time for system startup, air balance, punch-list completion and project closeouts prior to the contract end date. Provide air and water balancing all VAV boxes in the Campus Center and balancing for all the air handling units in Campus Center and College Hall.
