Description

Any bids received after this time will be rejected and returned unopened to the Bidder. Proposed Improvements: Work to be performed shall include construction of buildings, site infrastructure, utilities, and landscape improvements. Building improvements include a new performance pavilion, concessions building, renovated picnic pavilion, and multiple restrooms, storage, and supporting facilities. Site improvements include two new parking areas, a festival street, park infrastructure and utilities including a playground, water feature, paved seating and gathering areas, central green space, sled hill, landscape plantings, and lighting throughout. Prevailing Wage Rates Apply. The contractor will be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates on this project as established by the State of Illinois Department of Labor. The contractor shall also comply with all applicable Federal and Local regulations. To be eligible for award of contract for above project(s), the bidders must execute and submit as a part of their bid, the following MBE/WBE Clause Certification which will be deemed a part of the resulting contract. Warning: This certification is vital and if not submitted, the Contractors bid will be nonresponsive. Similarly, if a false certification is submitted, the Contractor's bid will be non-responsive. The Contractor agrees to use their good faith efforts as defined in the Owners MBE/WBE plan, to utilize MBE/WBE firms in the award of their subcontracts and owner/operator fully work with the suggested goals for this project. Under this MBE/WBE Clause Certification, the bidder agrees to maintain records to document contracts and specific efforts made to seek out and identify potential MBE/WBE Contractors. The bidder agrees to make good faith effort to replace an MBE/WBE subcontractor who is unable to perform successfully with another MBE/WBE. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, postpone the bid opening, or advertise for new proposals if in the judgment of the Village President and Village Board their best interests will be promoted thereby. Bidder qualifications and experience will also be included in determining the lowest responsible bidder.
