Bids shall be subject, however, to the discretionary right reserved by the School District to waive any informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, reject any proposals and to advertise for new proposals, if in its opinion the best interest of the School District will thereby be promoted. Also, bottle-filling stations at JFK MS, and Central Boulevard ES PC-1: $115,000.00 Locations- JFK MIDDLE SCHOOL 500 BROADWAY BETHPAGE, NY 11714 CENTRAL BLVD ES 60 CENTRAL BLVD BETHPAGE, NY 11714 CHARLES CAMPAGNE ES 601 PLAINVIEW ROAD BETHPAGE, NY 11714 The scope of work for the General Contractor (GC), Site Plumbing Contractor (SPC), and Site Electrical Contractor (SEC) in conjunction with this project is outlined below. All contractors are hereby made aware that this project entails the procurement and installation of a pre-manufactured modular building and, as such, the majority of the building MEP system installation will be performed by the GC and modular manufacturer. The scope of work outlines as summarized below are being provided to delineate responsibilities of the individual contractors and shall not be considered as limiting the scope of work. All contractors are directed to review their relevant specification sections for detailed information on materials to be provided and work to be performed. 1. The SPC shall be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and services and perform all operations in conjunction with providing water and sanitary systems to the modular buildings from the existing structure as depicted on the plan sheets and as outlined in the contract specifications. 2. The SPC shall extend the water service from the existing building to the new modular building and make all the necessary connections required to provide water to the modular building's plumbing system. (All internal plumbing connections to fixtures and across modulars will be performed by the GC). 3. The SPC shall provide and install a house trap, sanitary waste lines, and all associated components as depicted on the plan sheets. All waste pipe drops from fixtures within the modular building shall be manifolded and connected to a singular sanitary outfall pipe which will be connected to the house trap. 4. The SPC shall provide complete and accurate as-built drawings depicting the installation of his work from the purposes of obtaining Health Department and Water Authority approval on the system installation. 5. Provide and install insulation and heat trace for cold domestic water piping, tempered water, and sanitary piping located in the crawlspace and other locations susceptible to freezing. 6. Cutting and patching as required and directed. 7. Permits, Inspection, and Fees: Contractor shall file all plans and pay for all applications, fees, permits, inspections, and approvals as required. At the completion of the work, the Contractor shall furnish all certifications of approval from the State Bureau, Health Department, Water Authority, and all departments having jurisdiction. 8. This contract will require careful coordination of phased work under separate divisions of this contract. Plumbing work must be coordinated for smooth execution and completeness. 9. The Contractor shall visit the site and review the scope of work under this contract prior to bidding. All bids shall reflect the total price. Any clarification on intent shall be made prior to the bid opening date.
