Description | T-31.05 Shoring, Excavation & Subgrade Prep. Package 2: Trade Contractor to perform Building Pipe Chase H (also referred to as Tunnel H or Trench H) and Transformer Slab excavation, demolition activities as required, pile chipping and repairs, and subgrade preparation. Also, Trade Contractor's SOW includes Tunnel H internal bracing installation and removal, shotcrete application and pour-backs at CSM shoring walls, and under pinning of existing 960 Gallery by sealing the windows in between the Jet Grout Columns. The CSM shoring walls for Tunnel H structure and Jet Grout Columns supporting the existing 960 Gallery was furnished and installed by the T31.01 Trade Contractor, Malcolm Drilling Co. Inc. The Engineer of Record for the CSM shoring wall and Jet Grout Columns is Brierley Associates, appointed by Malcolm Drilling to perform all engineering and monitoring of the overall shoring system. Applicants who pre-qualify as Bidders are hereby notified that work to be performed under this contract will be in full or in part financed by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF), administered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) and the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), and the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA), also administered by the US EPA. Applicants who pre-qualify as Bidders are required to seek, and are encouraged to use, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) for their subcontracting and procurement needs. These requirements apply to all subcontracts for equipment, supplies, construction, and services. The SFPUC has adopted the following Fair Share Objectives for participation of DBEs in this SRF funded project. These are project-wide participation goals that the Contractor may seek to meet: 1. 5.6% MBE 2. 1.2% WBE The project wide goal for Local Business Enterprise participation for the Project is 12% of the Contract Sum. The Local Hiring Goal for the Construction Phase of the Project is 30% and 50% for apprentices for each trade. In accordance with California Labor Code Sections 1771.1 and 1725.5, no contract can be awarded to a Bidder without proof that the Bidder and all identified subcontractors are currently registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. The BDFP Project team, in partnership with the City of San Francisco Contract Monitoring Division ("CMD") and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission ("SFPUC") is committed to fostering strong, sustainable, and vibrant communities in the neighborhoods that we serve. The BDFP Project team is committed to providing certified Small & Micro Local Business Entities ("LBE") within Bayview Hunters Point ("Hyper-Local LBE") with meaningful opportunities to participate on the BDFP Project. We strongly encourage bidders to support the community by utilizing Hyper-Local LBEs to fulfil the LBE participation requirement. |
