Brandy Camp Sludge Removal

Contractor to provide all necessary labor and equipment, on an as-needed basis, to pump sludge at an estimated volume of 250,000 ft.3 and at estimated ten percent (10%) solids from two (2) ponds and dispose of the sludge on a predetermined site (approximately 8,000 feet away) at the Brandy Camp Acid Mine Drainage Treatment Plant, Horton Township, Elk County, in accordance with the terms of this bid proposal. The sludge will be pumped from the northeast pond and the southwest pond on separate occasions. The sludge will be pumped a distance of approximately 8,000 feet with multiple booster pumps to a borehole into a deep mine complex. The Department reserves the right to substitute an alternate sludge disposal site in close proximity to the predetermined site location, if needed. The contract shall commence July 1, 2020 and terminate June 30, 2022.
