Description | On behalf of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Parks and Recreation Division (PRD), the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) is requesting professional architectural and engineering services for the assessment, design, bidding, and construction administration of 1) renovations to two Yankee Springs State Recreation Area Beach House buildings, and 2) replacement of two Fort Custer State Recreational Area campground toilet-shower buildings. Please do not submit online questions via VSS. ALL questions should be emailed to Heather DeKorte at dekorteh@michigan.gov address no later than 5:00 p.m., Eastern on October 12, 2022. This request is to provide Phase 200 Program, Phase 300 Schematic Design, Phase 400 Design Development, Phase 500 Final Design, Phase 600 Construction Administration/Office, and Phase 700 Construction Administration/Field Inspection Services for the Main Beach House Building and the Murphys Point Beach House building. The PSC will perform a comprehensive Building Condition Assessment and Needs Assessment of both buildings. Building improvements for consideration will include the entire building enclosure, including window maintenance, masonry repointing, the concrete knee wall around the Main Beach House building, and exterior access from the parking lot to the building. Interior spaces will require reconfiguration to provide improved circulation, accessibility (including bathrooms), and an alternative use layout for Murphys Point. Interior finishes will be upgraded. The building structure and systems (MEP, HVAC, etc.), and utilities should be evaluated. New bathroom and concession plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures and lighting, electrical panel upgrades, etc. are desired. The building and all systems will be upgraded to accommodate current and proposed functions and meet current codes. The roofs on both buildings have been recently upgraded. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. |
