Description | Professional Consulting Engineering Firms (Consultant) for planning, modeling, future project needs descriptions, cost estimating, training staff on the newly updated model, and report preparation of the 2021 Storm Water Master Plan Update (Master Plan). The study area for the Master Plan includes the incorporated area of West Jordan, flows from West Valley City, Taylorsville, South Jordan, UDOT Roadway systems, canal conveyances, and unincorporated areas of Salt Lake County, and approximately 17,700 acres directly tributary to the City’s storm drainage system. The City uses GIS based INFOSWMM software by Innovyze, to evaluate through modeling the hydraulic capacity of the existing storm water system. The City desires to analyze existing and future storm water flows, identify any system deficiencies, and modify the Capital Facilities Plan (CFP) through buildout. This will include areas where irrigation and storm water flows are combined. The consultant shall update the INFOSWMM model, recommend and revise capital projects, estimate the costs for these projects, segregate the costs into impact fees versus user fees for each project, present the report and updated CFP to City Council for approval, and train City staff on the updated model and functionality. |
