Description | A. Scope of Work to be performed B. The Consultant will provide data and voice communications cabling infrastructure for various work space modification projects at different Washington County worksites. Work shall conform to Washington Countys Data and Voice Communications Cabling Infrastructure Design and Installation Standards attached as Attachment B. C. The Countys Data and Voice Communications Cabling Infrastructure Design and Installation Standards document defines the data and voice communications cabling infrastructure design and installation standards for Washington County. All new Washington County Facilities are to be installed utilizing VoIP technology. Copper cable that meets or exceeds the requirements of Category 6 unshielded twisted pair cable has been specified for the horizontal cabling to the work area locations. Multimode and Singlemode fiber optic cable has been specified for the backbone. The cabling system outlined in this document is designed to support voice, data, and video to all work area locations at communication speeds at a minimum of 1 Gbps. The backbone is designed to support voice, data, and video at speeds at a minimum of 10 Gbps. All horizontal cabling structures must also be designed and installed based on Siemon Certification by a Siemon Certified installer. Washington County, hereafter known as the County, is requesting proposals from Siemon certified data and voice communications cabling installers. Questions received after this deadline will not be considered. All questions received before the deadline will be compiled and responded to as identified in the schedule of events. There is no expressed or implied obligation for the County to reimburse responding firms for any expenses incurred in preparing proposals in response to this request. |
