Description | The Project consists of constructing a 5" PCC shared-use trail from the MCT Goshen Trail north approximately 0.52 mile to Magnolia Street. The work will consist of 5" PCC sidewalk on aggregate base course and a prepared subgrade. The project will also include tree removal, storm sewer extensions, signage, striping and all other incidental work required. Prequalification by the Illinois Department of Transportation is required. The contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILSC 130/1-12). Upon award, the successful bidder shall be required to enter into a Project Labor Agreement with the Southwestern Illinois Building & Construction Trades Council, as specified in the proposal. This project is being funded, in part, with State of Illinois Bike Path Grant Program funding assistance made available through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The City of Edwardsville encourages minority business firms to submit bids for this project. The City of Edwardsville also encourages successful bidders to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. In addition, the project is funded in part by an FY 22 Community Planning Grant awarded by the Metro East Park and Recreation District (MEPRD). The City of Edwardsville reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals. No. 618-656-4040, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the City of Edwardsville, 118 Hillsboro Avenue, Edwardsville, Illinois 62025, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a deposit of $40.00 for each set, $50.00 if mailed. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to "City of Edwardsville." The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. |
