Interstate 90 Bridge Superstructure Replacements

Project Location: The project is located in MassDOT District 3 (Worcester County) and the limits of the project extend along I-90 from Mile Marker (MM) 106.8 to Mile Marker (MM) 109.8. Consists of the replacement of Interstate I-90 bridge superstructures over six (6) bridges in Southborough and two (2) bridges in Westborough, as described above. The existing Interstate I-90 runs east-west and carries 3 lanes in each direction. The reconstruction of these structures is anticipated to be completed on one side of I-90 at a time. Accelerated Bridge demolition and construction would occur on weekend periods only. The project will include temporary drainage, traffic management inclusive of the construction of a temporary crossover, signing and pavement marking, temporary precast moveable barriers (zipper lanes), milling and overlay, utility relocation/protection, and other related bridge and highway work.
