Description | The Mora County Complex is a multipurpose facility designed to house the administrative operations of Mora County. Additionally, the complex includes the courtroom space for both Magistrate Court and District Court. County administrative operations are now housed in a series of modular portable buildings that are in poor condition. It is imperative to complete the complex to continue to provide basic services to the people of Mora County. The initial phase of the project was completion of the shell and included all property and easement acquisition (prior to 2011). Next was completion of two engineering reports to determine feasibility of buildout. Phase 1 of the current process was site work to prepare for construction. Phase 2 included structural remediation to provide for construction of a portion of the facility. Structural remediation was completed in 2017 for this section. Phase 3 was design and construction of county offices and Phase 4 is was design and construction of the Magistrate Court. The County is presently in Phases 3 and 4 of design and construction and will complete the lower floor for occupancy by some County offices in by November 2018, and completion of a magistrate court (2nd floor) by January 2018. Additional funding is needed for Phase 5 to complete the County section to house the County Managers offices, Public/Behavioral Health, Sheriff's Office, EMS and DWI. The next phase to complete these offices will be conducted through an RFP process in 2019. As of September 25, 2020 no new CIP issued, this project is currently in the FY 2021-2025 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2021. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2021. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
