Description

As of March 9, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. For Chazy Orchards Migrant Housing - Mechanical The project will be bid and awarded Mechanical (M) Project Description: New 2 story, wood framed, fully sprinklered Migrant Farmworker Housing structure of approximately 9,050 SF, providing housing for 50 occupants. The building is divided into 2 units, each containing two Bunk Room Sleeping Quarters, Dressing Rooms, Kitchen, Bathrooms, Laundry, Storage Room, and Common Living Areas in accordance with all State & Federal codes/regulations that may apply including HUD Minimum Standards, Part 15 of the Department of Health Migrant Farmworker Housing Code, NYS Building Codes and the 2020 Energy Code, as shown on the plans and described in the Project Manual. The building will be located on the property of Chazy Orchards and will be connected to the orchard's existing utilities, including water, and existing wastewater system. The Owner provided fuel source shall be from new below ground LP tank and Owner provided new electrical service shall be from new pad mounted transformer. Bids shall be submitted on the provided forms in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bid must be accompanied by a security deposit in the amount of 5% of the Bid and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. Contractor's bids are irrevocable for a period of (45) days after submission. In an effort to maintain all required regulations related to the health and safety of those involved please note the following safety precautions are required to attend the bid opening for AES Northeast Project No. 5150. o All in person attendees who are not vaccinated against COVID-19, must wear a mask or face covering while in attendance and maintain 6 ft of space between themselves and other attendees. o If you are not feeling well or are showing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. It is the policy of the Owner to encourage disadvantaged business enterprises, including minority and women business participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. Additionally, all Bidders shall comply with the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR) requirements. The Owner requires the project to be substantially completed on or before August 1, 2023, and final completion on or before September 1, 2023.
