Description

Sealed bids for Cafeteria Renovation / Addition & New Fitness Center for RITENOUR HIGH SCHOOL to renovate and provide an addition to the second level of the existing Cafeteria and renovate existing spaces into the new Fitness Center will be received by the Board of Education of the Ritenour School District. BOE approval is tentatively set for 8 December 2022. Missouri Division of Labor Standards, Wage and Hour Section, Annual Wage Order No. 29 (St. Louis County), will be subject to objections 30 days from the date of issue. Not less than the prevailing hourly rates of wages as found by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri, or determined by court on appeal, shall be paid to all workmen performing work under this contract. Bidders must provide a sworn affidavit and supporting documentation that affirms participation in a federal work authorization program as well as an affidavit that the bidder does not knowingly employ any person who is an unauthorized alien who will be working on the project. The scope of Interior Work includes wall reconfiguration and new finishes, ceilings, HVAC, lighting & controls, plumbing revisions. Exterior Work includes construction of the building additions, roofing modification, and pavement patching. Alternate work includes the addition of tubular skylights and alternate interior guard and handrails. The Project Schedule calls for Fitness Center work and building additions work to commence immediately upon approval of bid. Cafeteria interior work to begin as soon as possible but maintaining full use of kitchen and Cafeteria seating areas when school is in session. Full project to be completed before start of school 4 August 2023. Access to buildings, parking areas and driveways not a part of construction must be maintained for the project duration. Various times during school testing sessions will require disruptive construction to cease. A full schedule of "quiet days" will be discussed during preconstruction meetings. Bidders shall examine each site to confirm existing conditions & quantities prior to submitting bids. Each proposal shall be submitted in duplicate and include a cashier's check or certified check, or an acceptable bidder's bond, payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid, as a guarantee that if awarded the contract the bidder will enter into a contract and execute such bonds as required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities therein.
