J046--New Jersey Water Softener Maintenance

The maintenance is needed to keep the softeners producing high quality soft water which prevents mineral deposits from forming on the heat transfer surfaces of the high-pressure steam boilers that could ultimately shorten the life of the equipment or lead to catastrophic damage. It also serves to reduce the formation of mineral deposits on piping systems and components within the hospital water piping systems. The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, parts, supplies, equipment, supervision and transportation necessary to accomplish the services contained within this contract. The selected contractor will perform annual and semiannual maintenance on the systems contained within this statement of work (SOW). The selected contractor personnel will also perform repairs to the water softener if required. The following PM procedures are required to be performed by the contractor. The replacement of the below listed parts may be required at any time during the service contract and as such the vendor must provide a separate quote to the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) before commencement of any additional work.
