Description | As of November 14th, 2022, project was cancelled. The owner decided to contract with an architect/engineer to design the work needed, then the ITB for a contractor. No definite date for rebid yet. Effingham County is seeking a competent design-build team to renovate 3 existing residential structures for office use, demolition of a residential structure, and construction of a parking lot to service one of the renovated offices. The sites include 902 and 904 N. Pine St. and 204 Early St., Springfield, GA 31329 and 101 E. Tenth St., Rincon, GA 31326. The County completed a Facility Condition Assessment and Programming Needs plan in 2021. The Probation office was formerly located at 902 N. Pine St. until black mold was found in the structure, prompting abandonment of the building. 904 N. Pine St. was formerly used by the Development Services Department until vacated in 2021. A recent structural report deemed the building foundation not worthy of salvage. The plan is to demolish the structure and add parking for the historic courthouse and Probation office. 204 Early St. is currently being used by Juvenile Justice and needs a comprehensive upgrade. 101 E. Tenth St. was recently acquired by the County to be remodeled as a EMA sub-station. These reports will be made available to the successful bidder. For additional information please contact, Alison Bruton at (912) 754-2159 ext 4572 or via email: abruton@effinghamcounty.org Effingham county reserves the right to reject any/and all proposals and to waive all formalities.
