Description

The right is reserved, as the interest of the Alabama Port Authority may require, to reject all bids through a Notice of Non-award or otherwise, and to waive informalities in bids received. PROJECT 11099 APMT PHASE IV DEVELOPMENT DEMOLITION PACKAGE MOBILE, ALABAMA The work consists principally of providing bonds, labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the demolition of approximately 60,000 sf of existing (formally called MRT) concrete dock structure along with the partial removal of the associated piling and the removal of 1285 linear ft of concrete cap from the adjacent bulkhead wall as indicated on the Contract Drawings and Specifications. Bidder attendance is NOT REQUIRED. Each bidder shall satisfy oneself as to the character, quality, and quantities of work to be performed, and as to the requirements of the proposed contract. The submission of a proposal shall be proof that the bidding Contractor has made such examination and is satisfied as to the conditions to be encountered in performing the work and as to the requirements of the proposed Contract. All bidding Contractors must hold a current license from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama with the classification of either (H/RR) heavy/railroad or (D) demolition. No bid will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified to submit a proposal for this work in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Alabama. This shall include evidence of holding a current license as required from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama. Also, non-residents of the State must show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama. The right is reserved, as the interest of the Alabama Port Authority may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in bids received.
