Desert Mesa Chiller Plant Replacement

To provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services for replacement of the Desert Mesa Chiller Plant Replacement for the Yuma Elementary District No. 1. The Mechanical scope of work for this project includes removal of two (2) existing water-cooled chillers, One (1) wall mounted exhaust fan, Two (2) primary chilled water pump, two (2) secondary chilled water pumps, and associated piping and VFD’s. The addition of two (2) new water-cooled chillers and associated VFD’s, two (2) New primary chilled water pumps and VFD'S, two (2) new secondary chilled water pumps, one (1) new wall mounted continuous run exhaust fan, one (1) new wall mounted purge exhaust fan, new machine room refrigerant detection systems, and all associated piping and controls to produce a fully operational central Plant. (Existing chilled water controls and sequence to remain and adjusted as required.) The Structural scope of work for this project includes anchoring of new chillers and steel angle lintel for new concrete wall penetration for exhaust. The Electrical scope of work for this project includes all required Electrical support and requirements to provide power to new Chillers, secondary pumps, purge and continuous exhaust fans, VFD'S, and refrigerant Detection System. During Pre-bid walk through, pay close attention to the existing chiller and cooling tower layout with regards to the removal and replacement of chillers. Existing cooling tower (CT-1) may need to be removed and replaced after new chiller installation. Alternatively, the chillers can be installed and located through Hall 1090. New chillers disassembly or door modification may be necessary.
