Veterans Memorial Park Building Renovation

The Work of project consists of the renovation of the existing building into a new team facility to support athletic activities in the adjacent park. The existing building currently has public toilets and one team room with toilet facilities; these are all to remain. The renovation will convert an existing storage area to a second team room, with toilet facilities. The renovated building will remain unheated, but new ventilation, will be added to both the new team room and the existing team room. New emergency egress doors and new clerestory windows will be added to both team rooms. New lighting is to be provided in the new team room. Some selective demolition is required to remove an interior concrete ramp and a portion of the interior concrete slab as well as cutting openings for the new doors and windows. A limited amount of masonry work is required at the installation of the new doors and windows. The new toilet room walls will be steel studs with gypsum board. The toilet room will be complete with fixtures, toilet partitions, accessories and finishes. The entire new team room, including the exposed underside of the roof deck and wood trusses, walls and floor are all to be painted. The existing building is serviced by an existing 2” water line and sanitary sewer line from Bull Hill Lane to the building.
