Description | A construction manager has been awarded and will be pricing the project out in packages. Construction cost estimate = total project construction cost. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Construction Manager shall provide all Preconstruction Phase Services necessary to establish a GMP as well as all Construction Phase Services following the Award of the GMP for the school identified in this Project Notification. During the Architectural/Engineering Design Phase, the Construction Manager will be required to advise with the selection of the building system and provide construction cost estimates for the Schematic, Design Development, and Construction Documents deliverables. Also, update accordingly the construction schedule to be proposed for the construction phase, amongst other pre-design services as requested by the Owner. The construction services requested will be for the modernization of the school to be located on the campus of the former Roosevelt High School as an Adult Education Center to include the following facilities and site alterations: 1) Raze building #10 (cafeteria and kitchen) and attached covered walkways connecting buildings #8 and 9. 2) Erect a new two-story facility with approximately 20,000 sf of general and technical classrooms. 3) The alteration of the former shop classroom building #8. 4) The alteration of the historical gymnasium building #9. 5) Build the parking lot and required drainage features on-site and across the street on 15th (L.A. Kirksey Street) to support the project. Construction may be phased with the schedule as determined by the Owner.
