Peabody Hall - Building Envelope Renovation

The purpose of the Building Envelope Remedial Project is to stop damaging moisture intrusion, specifically at the basement level. Scope of Work is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of, but is not necessarily limited to the following: The remedial Scope of Work includes but is not limited to excavating to foundation level on the south, east and west sides of the building followed by sealing wall penetrations, cracks and voids and waterproofing the basement walls from finished grade to foundation level. It also includes the installation of a continuous French drain system at the foundation, connecting it to the existing storm drain system on site and backfilling the excavation. Also included is cleaning of, sealing voids and cracks in and applying water repellant to the front entry steps and landing. Also included, is the addition of area drains in the sidewalks outside the existing doors on the east and west sides and piping the area drains to connect to the existing storm drain system on site and recaulking of the hollow metal doors and frames.
