Description

As part of DTC’s ongoing Capital Improvements plan for transit facilities throughout the State of Delaware, the existing Rt 896/Rt 4 park and ride location has been identified to provide a private restroom facility for bus drivers. The Park and Ride lot is located just South of E. Chestnut Hill Road (Rt 4), bound by S College Avenue (Rt 896) to the west and Park Drive to the south. The proposed prefabricated building will be situated within the parking lot area along the bus pull off lane. All improvements are designed to remain within the existing state right of way, or within an easement that has been secured between DelDOT and with St Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church dated October 18, 2018, and recorded 2/21/20. The site work for the restroom facility involves the following: • Removal of pavement, curb and mulch and rough grade to proposed building subgrade • Remove inlet and plug a portion of existing 15” RCP • Installation of utility services (electric, water and sanitary), including connections to and within the prefabricated structure • Maintenance of Traffic TA’s per Plan • Miscellaneous Site Work included but not limited to: Grading, topsoil, seed, mulch, backfill and paving as necessary to complete the improvements • Construct building pad • Install new curb and sidewalk • Setting of the prefabricated building shall be done by others and is not included in this contract.
