Description | Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Thiensville, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility. Project involves demolishing the buildings to grade, removal of floor slabs, foundations and footings, hauling and disposal of all debris to approved disposal sites, backfilling and excavation with bank run gravel material, compacting to 95% of standard proctor, abandonment of sanitary sewer lateral, abandonment of well, and site erosion control. Contractor responsible to handle asbestos in 102-120 W. Freistadt building per pre-demolition assessment. Low bid demolition Contractor should verify that their firms name is listed on the 10-day notice submitted to the WDNR. Airborne dust must be controlled by misting/water spray during active building demolition. Neither Owner, Engineer nor Issuing Office is responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any Addenda, obtained from other sources. The cost of Bidding Documents is non-refundable. Each entity obtaining Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office will be designated as a Plan Holder of Record. Bids received from entities who are not Plan Holders of Record may be returned as being nonresponsive. A Bidders qualification statement is not required. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bond or Certified Check payable to Village of Thiensville equal to 5 percent of the Bid. If the successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract and furnish payment and performance bonds within 15 days after the award, the Check or Bid Bond may be forfeited to Village of Thiensville as liquidated damages. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. Village of Thiensville reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. |
