Description

B&J PROJECT #: S21-0131 The Preliminary Cost Estimate to complete Project construction is $665,523.00. The Preliminary Cost Estimate is provided for reference purposes only. Bidders must independently evaluate Project requirements and propose a price for completing Project construction and other obligations under the Contract Documents based on each Bidder s independent evaluation. Bidders must submit Pre-Bid inquiries or clarification requests through the PlanetBids portal. Pre-Bid questions or clarification requests musts be submitted no later than October 5, 2022 at 5:00pm. The District will not respond to any Bidder inquiries or clarification requests submitted after such date/time. District responses to Bidder inquiries or clarification requests will be not be directly distributed to Bidders; District responses will be communicated to Bidders by posting on the PlanetBids portal. Bidders are solely responsible for accessing the PlanetBids portal to review District responses to Bidder inquiries or clarification requests. ubstitution of Specific Products . Bidders may request the District accept alternatives to materials, equipment or other products specified in the Contract Documents by brand, trade name, model number or other similar designation ( Specified Products ) by submittal of a written request to the District ( Substitution Request ) no later than October 5, 2022 at 5:00pm. 6. Bid Security . Bid Proposals must be submitted with Bid Security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Bidder s proposed price to complete Project construction and obligations under the Contract Documents. Bid Security shall be in the form of cash, cashiers/certified check payable to the District, or Bid Bond in the form and content included with the Contract Documents. Submittal of Bid Security shall be in accordance with the Information for Bidders. 7. Prevailing Wage Rates . The California Department of Industrial Relations ( DIR ) has determined the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for the locality of the Work. Copies of these wage rate determinations, entitled Prevailing Wage Scale are available at www.dir.ca.gov . The Bidder awarded the Contract for the Work and all Subcontractors shall pay not less than the prevailing wage rate for the classification of work performed. During the Work and pursuant to Labor Code 1771.4(a)(4), the DIR will monitor compliance with prevailing wage rate requirements and enforce the Contractor s prevailing wage rate obligations. 8. DIR Registered Contractor . The Bidder and all Subcontractors shall be DIR Registered Contractors pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. The Bid Proposal of a Bidder who is not a DIR Registered Contractor when the Bid Proposal is submitted will be rejected for non-responsiveness. All Subcontractors identified in a Bidder s Subcontractors List must be DIR Registered contractors at the time the Bid Proposal is submitted. 9. Bid Proposals Binding on Bidders . Submitted Bid Proposals may be withdrawn via the PlanetBids Portal prior to the latest date/time for submitting Bid Proposals. Bid Proposals shall remain firm, binding and enforceable for sixty (60) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. 10. Rejection of All Bid Proposals; Waiver of Irregularities . The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. 11. Award of Contract . The Contract, if awarded, will be by action of the District s Board of Trustees to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest priced responsive Base Bid Proposal. If Alternate Bid Items are included in the bidding, the lowest priced Bid Proposal will be determined on the basis of the Base Bid Proposal. TEST AND BALANCE HVAC SYSTEMS PATCH, REPAIR, PRIME à PAINT WALLS AND CEILINGS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF HVAC EQUIPMENT DEMOLISH & LEGALLY DISPOSE AIR HANDLING UNITS (AHU) AND ASSOCIATED CHILLED WATER PIPING, VALVES, COILS, AND APPURTENANCES. DEMOLISH & LEGALLY DISPOSE DUCTWORK AND FIRE-SMOKE DAMPERS PER PLAN FURNISH AND INSTALL SPLIT DX HVAC CRAC UNIT FOR LRC BUILDING ON 1ST FLOOR MDF (SERVER) ROOM WITH CRAC UNIT INSIDE MECHANICAL ROOM AND OUTDOOR UNIT IN EQUIPMENT YARD. INTERLOCK EQUIPMENT WITH FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL FOR SHUT DOWN REQUIREMENTS. FURNISH AND INSTALL NEW DUCTWORK FOR ROOM WITH COMBINATION FIRE-SMOKE DAMPERS AND INTERLOCK WITH FACP.
