The District explored the costs and benefits of correcting the deficiencies, but ultimately decided to enter into an agreement with the City to annex the properties and connect to the City's Wastewater system. All of the existing gravity collection system will remain in place. A new lift station will be constructed on the north end near the existing lagoon, and a new force main constructed from the lift station to the headworks of the Water Reclamation Facility. The Sewer District is comprised of 59 single family homes, 64 townhouses and the country club which has a maximum of 460 members. The City is the contracting agent for the project. The property owners within the District will reimburse the City by means of a Special Improvement District (SID). Creation of the SID will be part of the scope of work and will be completed concurrently with the design services. |
