Description | As of July 21, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The project includes the following contracts for the construction of a new salt storage shed for Douglass Township. Contract A - Building Contract B Electrical Bidders may submit bids for Contract A or Contract B individually, or for Contract A and Contract B combined. If a combined bid is submitted, the Bidder shall note any reduction in the total bid price for the combined bid on the Bid Form. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Surety Company's Bid Bond on the form provided in the Bid Documents, naming as payee or Obligee, Douglass Township, Berks County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid submitted. The Surety Company must be acceptable to the Township. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the above-specified date for receiving, opening and reading of bids, except as specifically may be provided by law. All Contracts exceeding $10,000.00 shall be performed in compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, Equal Employment Opportunity, as amended by Executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). In addition, all Contractors shall comply with the Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause as required by Pennsylvania Executive Order 2016-05. Wages paid are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 as amended and supplemented. The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of 1955, P.L. 744, No. 222, as amended June 25,1997 by Act 34 of 1997, 43 P.S. 951-963, shall apply to this Contract. The Bidder and all subcontractors must be prequalified by PennDOT for the type of project work specified in order to bid the project, and PennDOT prequalification certificates must be submitted by the Bidder and all subcontractors. The qualification documentation listed in Article 3 in the Instructions to Bidders must be submitted with the bid. |
