Description

Improvements to Blocks Bayou Ditch Phase 1 from existing concrete lined ditch beginning near Port Neches Avenue and ending at the Northern Bocks Bayou outfall, just West of Lindsay Lane cul-de-sac in Port Neches, Texas. Base Bid: The project scope for the base bid includes but is not limited to: 1. Clearing and grubbing of brush and trees within the DD7 right-of-way and stockpile location designated for excavated material on Exxon Mobil property. 2. Demolition and removal of existing concrete liner and existing structures and disposal at a location determined by the Contractor. 3. Excavation and shaping of the existing channel and embankment to the lines and grades shown in the plans, and preparation for concrete lining construction. All spoil shall be placed and graded to drain according to the plans or at the direction of the District Representative at the identified location on Exxon Mobil’s property as shown on the plans. 4. Installation of structural concrete headwall and wingwalls at the upstream outfall identified in the plans. 5. Placement of concrete liner to the lines and grades shown on the plans. Dewatering of the outfall area, filling existing voids with select material approved by the District Representative, and install 6” concrete liner to the lines and grades shown on the plans. 1. Removal and replacement of various chain link fencing and wooden privacy fencing sections with matching new fencing materials. 2. Installation of culvert extensions to City storm sewers as shown on the plans. 3. Removal of an abandoned 12-inch pipeline by means and methods proposed and furnished by Contractor and approved by Owner. 4. Final site clean-up and grading and placement of Saint Augustine grass sod, seeding, and Curlex Green erosion control matting in all disturbed areas of the project as described in the plans and specifications.
