ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 PROJECT TITLE A. Leopold WMD: Accessible ADA Improvements. Summary: Removing existing aggregate base, installing new concrete parking area, sidewalk and ramp connecting to existing building stoop. Installing railings and tactile tile. Provide site grading to finish around concrete installations. 1.02 WORK UNDER THESE SPECIFICATIONS A. Contractor shall furnish materials, labor, equipment and supervision for the work described below in the base bid and bid additions: 1. Base Bid: The work includes but is not limited to: Removing existing Class 5 aggregate for parking stall, sidewalk and ramp. Installing concrete parking stall, sidewalk, ramp, railings, tactile tile, parking sign, fine grading to new installations. 1.03 LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE A. The work site is located at the Leopold Wetland Management District office in Portage, WI. The mailing address is shown on the Solicitation, Offer, and Award (Standard Forms 1442 or, 18 block 9) as attached to this Invitation. The Station Manager may be contacted for further information at the above referenced address or by telephone at (608) 742-7100. B. All prospective bidders/quoters, contractors, subcontractors, and related persons are encouraged to visit the site of the proposed Work and to assess the location and extent of the Work prior to submitting bids. Persons may inspect the site by contacting the Station Manager. 1.04 SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS FOR CONSTRUCTION A. The successful bidder will be provided digital full size prints of the contract drawings as necessary for execution of this contract. These drawing will be provided at no additional cost to the successful bidder/quoter. B. Exact location of all affected utilities will be the responsibility of the contractor. Drawings may not completely show all utilities. Site verification is required in addition to contacting any local authorities and utility companies to determine exact locations of utilities. C. In case of difference between drawings and specifications, the specifications shall govern. 1.05 WORK NOT INCLUDED IN THIS CONTRACT A. All items indicated "NIC" on drawings or in specifications are items not included in this contract. B. Work in place is generally shown as "Existing" on the Contract Drawings. C. Work to be performed under other contracts and not included as part of this contract is generally shown as "By Others" on the Contract Drawings. 1.06 ITEMS PROVIDED BY THE GOVERNMENT A. Work to be accomplished by the Government or manufactured items to be provided by the Government are generally shown as "By Government" on the Contract Drawings. B. Unless specifically provided herein, no materials or equipment shall be furnished by the Government under this Contract. 1.07 GOVERNMENTING SERVICES: A. The Government has established a baseline and a benchmark for this project. The drawings relate the project to the baseline and benchmark. From this baseline and benchmark the Contractor shall furnish and place all stakes, marks, and templates required for the performance and completion of the work. Any baseline monuments or benchmarks disturbed or removed during construction shall be reset by the Contractor at their expense. Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion of Work (APR 1984) The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 10 Calendar days calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 60 calendar days. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
